People don't notice it as much as you think they do. I'm not sugar coating it, it's the honest truth. Honestly, I have stretch marks on the tops of my thighs, sort of on my butt, but what I do is just use a stretch mark diminisher everyday. It should help :-) I recommend that you look up reviews for different products and then try it out. It's NOT a big deal, I honestly feel the same way about it. It is gross to me, but just don't think about it and no one else will. if they do, they're idiots to worry about something like that. Also, don't feel bad because like I'm pretty sure almost everyone gets them.

My finace has them on his sides and lower back. He is 6'6" and SKINNY. He is like a pole, really. He just grew so fast that I guess his skin didn't expand as much as needed. I don't think it's gross at all but I know it makes him a little self conscious.

Ignore the negative comments! Nearly everyone, Including men, have stretch marks and you should learn to love your body, Stretch marks and all! It's natural and usually from your body changing, A result of growing up.After time, They will fade and hardly be noticeable.Cocoa butter is a good moisturiser to use which helps them fade faster. Im a healthy uk size 10/12 and 5'10 so in no means overweight and i have had them since i was a teenager (Now 22) and now they are hardly noticable, I forget they are there! Any guy who says they matter aint worth knowing!

eee i feel for you.
i have them and im 5 foot 6 and i weigh about 120. personally i think they're gross too... it's a growing up too quickly sort of thing plus my yo-yo dieting aint helping! i find exercising minimizes them a bit. and fake tan. only a teeny bit thou... i hear they "fade" as time goes by. but ehh.. idk =/ i have them on my hips and thighs... so i don't wear swim suits any more which means i don't go swimming! or beaching i saw someone before who also had them, her top was off, completely exposed in a extremely public spot. i applauded her for that too. and tbh... i didn't even go "err" at her. which is what i would actually do if i found something repulsive. im harsh i know... she had like 6 boys around her too! amazing |

Hi toby,
To give you the honest answer, i think it depends on your skin type and how self conscious you are. Recent stretch marks can really stand out on your skin, especially if you are pale - because they are basically scars from dermal/epidermal tearing, when your skin is stretched without producing enough collagen to support itself (eg weight gain or puberty or pregnancy) When I got stretchmarks as a teenager (lower back & inner thighs) i hated them, they were all red and really noticeable, so I was totally self-conscious about always covering them up - i never wore short shorts or lowback tops The good news is that over time they fade and blend in more with your skin tone. Mine faded within a year to barely visible pale lines. Now, you can't see them - the only way i notice them is when i run my hands over them, i can feel teensy ripples where the texture of my skin is slightly different. But they're barely there at all - my boyfriend has never even noticed them, and he's pretty thoroughly accquainted with my skin ;) So to answer; if your stretch marks are fresh, i could understand that you'd be a little self-conscious and the way they look might matter to you, but if you moisturise them regularly (with ANY old moisturiser, don't even need a fancy product!) they will soon fade. Once they fade, i don't think they matter at all. Especially if you're rocking a lovely healthy 125lb body ;) i doubt anyone will ever notice! be confident darl! hope this helps x |

I HATE MINE TOO. I have them pretty bad on my belly from having two kids. Also on my boobs, and now on my upper thighs from losing weight. I do think they fade, but not enough. I wore my first bikini last week because I saw a friend rockin her's and she was covered in them! And she just did not care. So I figured, why not? But I am still so worried about them. Don't know if I would be around friends in my bikini for fear they would gross out after seeing them. So someday I will be getting a tummy tuck to get rid of most of them. I guess it just depends on your confidence and not caring what people think, because honestly, I think everyone thinks they are very unattractive.
