yes. you need to go out in the heat of the day if its 80 degrees. so around 12-2. put some lotion on but not too much just so you wont get burned. after you tan but banana boats after sun lotion. you can get it at walmart or target. it makes the tan last longer!!! have fun tanning but be carefull, dont get burned!!! hope i helped :-)

Yes. It doesn't necessarily depend on the tempurature, it's the UV Rays that the sun gives off that make you tan.

Heat has nothing to do with tanning. Exposure to direct sunlight does as the sun gives off UVA and UVB rays, and these rays are what cause sunburn(and tanning - which is the body's attempt to protect itself from those rays by sending up the melamine(dark color) from the depths of the skin or tan. So tanning is basically destroying the skin.
But 80 degree weather. What about skiers?? -10 below freezing. |

Yep. Tanning is not related to the temperature, but instead is related to the UV rays. People get sunburned cheeks while skiing during the winter, and plenty of people get tans and burns in the resort town I live in, whether it is 65 or 105.

I tan in 70 degree weather.. Unfortunately I have retarded tan lines all over my legs, back, feet, chest, and arms because I'm out in the sun a lot. Eh. As long as there's sun, you'll tan.
